BookTok Made Me Do It

BookTok has power. Dangerous power.

In this comeback episode of Rekindling the Pages, we’re diving into the books we picked up because TikTok told us to—and let’s just say… the results were mixed. Some recommendations completely wrecked us in the best possible way, delivering unforgettable characters, emotional damage, and five-star obsessions. Others? Left us questioning our life choices, our trust in the algorithm, and sometimes even our sanity.

We’re talking about the books that blessed us, the books that burned us, and how BookTok continues to shape our reading lives—for better or worse.

Was the hype justified? Were we influenced too easily? And most importantly… will we ever learn our lesson?

Probably not.
